Muhummad Nazim Uddin

Nazim Uddin is a scientific officer at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), where organic research has been systematically initiated at BARI with multidisciplinary research teams.
Nazim Uddin specially focused on research regarding low input variety development, soil fertility, pest management, yield increments, farming system and traditional technology. Aside from this, he initiated the Model Organic Agriculture Village under the Action Research Program of Bangladesh while also developing Participatory Guarantee Systems simultaneously.
Mr Uddin contributes actively to national and transnational research networks such as the Asian Network for Sustainable Organic Farming Technology (ANSOFT) and he established the Bangladesh Organic Agriculture Network (BOAN) which belongs to the Bangladesh Agricutlureal Research Institute (BARI) and is an IFOAM affiliate.
Additionally he created BARI organic standards and general national organic standards in compliance with the IFOAM standards. His affiliation to ISOFAR, TIPI and IFOAM as well as his Alumni relation with the IFOAM Organic Leadership Course, and his contribution to international and national organic agriculture workshops provide him with a reliable and deep understanding of the global organic sector.
