New TIPI member: Higher School of Agriculture/Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (CIMO)

Recently the Higher School of Agriculture/Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (CIMO) in Portugal has become a new member of TIPI, the Technology Innovation Platform of IFOAM.

The Higher School of Agriculture from the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, Portugal, is a public institution of higher education, since 1985. It has four under graduate courses (Agronomy, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology and Veterinary nursing) and three MSc courses (Organic Agriculture, Environmental management and Animal husbandry).

Also, it has been involved in the organization of many national technical and scientific events in organic horticulture and animal production and in the International Symposium on Organic Horticulture, during the ISHS 28th International Horticultural Congress, in 2010.

One lecturer is a member of the Focus group "Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability" of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP).
